Specially formulated to prevent dull, hazy water. It’s a one-two punch that keeps water sparkling clear by oxidizing and eliminating organic contaminants. Since this product is buffered, it will not affect water balance—pH and total alkalinity will remain unchanged. Adding a dry clarifier aids the oxidation/filtration process, so routine filtration removes water contaminants more readily.
Add Shoxidizer® shock oxidizer weekly at 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons of pool water to keep pool water clear.
– For pool openings or closings, add 2 lbs. per 10,000 gallons to eliminate organic contaminants from the water.
– Swimming may resume just 15 minutes after treatment.
– Compatible with chlorine, bromine, ozone, and salt chlorine sanitizing systems.
Always add with the pump and filter running to ensure complete mixing and good circulation. GLB Shoxidizer is completely soluble and dissolves quickly, so no mixing is required. Broadcast GLB Shoxidizer uniformly over the surface of the water, adding about two-thirds of the total dose into the pool's deep end. Apply the product when the swimming pool is not in use. Swimming may resume 15 minutes after product application, provided the chlorine residual concentration in the pool is between 1 and 3 ppm. Reentry is prohibited above the levels of 3 ppm chlorine due to the risk of bodily injury.
For pools with moderate daily use, add GLB Shoxidizer weekly at 1 pound per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Each pound of GLB Shoxidizer raises the free chlorine concentration by 1 ppm in 10,000 gallons of pool water. More frequent and/or heavy doses may be required during heavy use or following heavy rains or high winds.
Add GLB Shoxidizer at 2 lb. per 10,000 gallons of pool water for pool opening and closing applications. This dose will provide sufficient oxidizer to eliminate most of the cocontaminants that accumulate in pool water, and will immediately raise the free chlorine by 2ppm in 10,000 gallons of pool water.
